Allene - Johnson

Allene Johnson, 76 year old Yreka resident, passed away February 21, 2013 at Shasta View Nursing Center in Weed.

Allene was born to Herbert and Fanny Irby on September 13, 1936 in Mississippi. She was raised in Mississippi and it was there that she met and married Eugene Johnson. Together they raised their children in Mississippi before moving to Madera, California in the early 1960’s. Eugene passed away in 1996 and in 2010 she moved from Madera to make her home in Yreka and be close to her family.

Allene was a member of the Life Four Square Church. She enjoyed her roses, watching Country Music Videos and she especially loved her dog “Molly”.

Allene is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda Sue Crowley of Merrill, OR and Shelly Marie Jones of Yreka; one brother, H.L. Irby of Arkansas; 7 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren. In addition her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 children, Richard Eugene Johnson, Judy Darlene Bush and Gary Michael Johnson and by 6 brothers.

No services are scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Circle, Yreka, CA 96097.
